Hey folks, guess what time it is? Time for another “I have to post.” Joy. I swear I’m on track to tone down my work and other commitments to get back to a manageable schedule. Though I guess it’s still going to take a few weeks for me to get there. So settle in for continued mediocre posts.

On that note, here’s a top some-number list of things that are pleasing me latel

1. Ethiopian food: I just had my first delicious utensil-less meal of this kind and it’s like the best thing I’ve ever had. Everything about the meal was ridiculously awesome (aren’t I a master of description) and the bill for me and a best-y was $9. Total! For both of us!! If that is not my ideal meal, I don’t know what is!

2. Reading. I haven’t read any novels or biographies or any type of non work/school-related anything (excluding the occasional Bitch or Shameless magazine) in a shamefully long time. Now that I have an epic work commute (1.5 hours/day) I have been reading my friggin’ socks off…and loving it! Currently I’m re-reading the V.C. Andrews Flowers in the Attic series, which I adored as a pre-teen (totally appropriate, no?). And let me tell you, it has not aged well—though it’s not so sour that I will stop reading. So much “devil’s spawn” talk, and incestuous passion, and inappropriate seductions, and talk of revenge and unattainable dreams and love, love, love (and death and revenge and poison). If you have a twelve-year-old niece, give her this series (or any of the other V.C. Andrews series that involve incest and orphans and rags to riches revenge plots [all of them]).

3. The mom and baby groundhog that live on the campus where I work. Adorable. I feed the mom almonds while the baby runs around/away. Ka-yute!

4. Misfits, the UK TV series about juvenile delinquents turned super heroes (more like brats with super powers). Great times, hot folks (sometimes hot folks £uçk!ng), hilarity, accents, super powers. Watch it. Love it.
